Description:

Design an ad to promote Distance Education at NC State University. Use current design (consistent with Distance Education website) and NC State Branding strategies.

Duties:

Construct an ad consistent with branding .Worked with our copy editor, distance education advisor and creative director to construct a layout to focus on a student audience ranging from 16-52 (current demographics taking DE classes at NC State).

Description:

Marketing Package promoting DELTA, Distance Education, and NC State. It is a gathering of new faculty, previous faculty and professional on/off campus who have a particular interest in Distance Education learning. We tend to showcase a new design which will be used throughout the year.

Duties:

Construct a design that was promoted DELTA. I worked with our copy editor, and had input from several web designers on duty. I managed and lead a team of four part time interns, two designers, a photographer and our industrial designer, in order to make sure everything was ready for the event on time.

Pathways Logo for NC State University

Description:

Pathways is a 10 month program designed for high performing individuals to enhance their interpersonal effectiveness. The Pathways program guides participant’s through a self-discovery process to enable them to enhance their leadership propensity. Through this self-discovery process, participants will gain an understanding of “what they value, what inspires them, what challenges them, what gives them power and competence, and what encourages them. When they discover those things about themselves, they’ll know what it takes to lead those qualities out of others.” Through the program year, participants will complete a series ofcourses, identify and lead a project for their unit or department, and participate on a team project with other Pathways participants. These program components align with Kouzes’ and Posners’, “Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership” as discussed in their book, The Leadership Challenge. Based on 25 years of research and data from over three million leaders, Kouzes and Posner identified that extraordinary leaders, whether in formal or informal positions, demonstrate the following five practices:

1. Modeling the Way
2. Inspiring a Shared Vision
3. Challenging the Process
4. Enabling Others to Act
5. Encouraging the Heart

Duties:

Construct a logo that incorporated a wolf and a red heart. Designed with little-to-no parameters provided and presented several ideas.
